Young Agrarians 4th Okanagan Winter Mixer
Calling all new and young(ish and at heart) farmers, and want-to-be-farmers! Folks from across the region will be gathering for the Young Agrarians 4th Okanagan Winter Mixer on January 21-22, 2017. Join us for two full days bursting with information, skill sharing, networking and phenomenal food!
Get inspired, sharpen your farm skills, and build connections with other new farmers. You will learn about holistic land management, indigenous land and food systems, crop planning, soil productivity and health, business and financial management, land leasing, integrating livestock into your small farm, and more!
When: Saturday, January 21 - Sunday, January 22, 2017

Cost: Sliding scale $50-100, and work trades are available
Open to the public: Young Agrarians 4th Okanagan Winter Farmer Mixer’s range of sessions will appeal to everybody with an interest in maintaining and preserving the local food system, including farmers, homesteaders and gardeners. “YA Mixers provide a great excuse for getting together with other farmers to learn, socialize, and share resources during the dark days of winter.” Tristan Cavers, Golden Ears Farm (Chase, BC).
