Real Talk to Recover Hope
UBC Okanagan's Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Open School Chapter brings together leaders across disciplines to build core skills in improvement, safety and leadership in the delivery of excellent care.
As it is critical to confront the stigma that surrounds substance use disorders as a first step towards helping people receive the treatment they deserve, the chapter will be hosting "Real Talk to Recover Hope" - a panel presentation on March 26th from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
This presentation aims to change the narrative, reduce stigma, and raise awareness of substance use disorders as a chronic disease. The presentation will confront the systemic inequities underlying substance abuse from the perspectives of local, interdisciplinary leaders. Students, professionals, and community members are welcome at this free event!
