As it is critical to confront the stigma that surrounds substance use disorders as a first step towards helping people receive the treatment they deserve, the chapter will be hosting "Real Talk to Recover Hope" - a panel presentation on March 26th from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. This presentation aims to change the narrative, reduce stigma, and raise awareness of substance use disorders as a chronic disease. The presentation will confront the systemic inequities underlying substance abuse from the perspectives of local, interdisciplinary leaders.
