Flower Power in the Laurel Square
The flowers are pretty, but what are they for? Come and explore the beautiful world of Okanagan plants in our outdoor classroom. This program is great for kids ages 4-8 and for the young at heart — anyone who would love exploring our budding garden, full of Indigenous, water wise and pollinator-friendly plants.
– What are the different parts of the plants and what do they need to grow?
– Do some detective work in our pollinator garden
– Be fascinated by Indigenous plants and their traditional uses
– Use plant parts to create a beautiful art piece
Children must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver. For more information, contact Jen Garner, Head of Programming at education@kelownamuseums.ca or 250-868-4836
