Jane Kidd: Curious
After a long career in Calgary, Jane Kidd now lives and works on Salt Spring Island in BC. She is a Governor General’s Award-winning, internationally recognized artist who works with the ancient medium of tapestry. This exhibition comprises works from two recent series of work by Kidd: Curiosities: Pairings, and Wonderland, which explore what would happen if scientists who are intent on genetic modification took two very different living things and attached them together to create a new entity.
