Howard Podeswa: A Brief History

This senior Canadian artist has had a long career as a painter. We are pleased to be bringing this recent body of work to Kelowna audiences as it was shown in Toronto at the Koffler Gallery in 2016. It is accompanied by a full-colour book. Podeswa paints figuratively on both a massive and tiny scale. He deals with all sorts of issues, and channels various artistic sources, notably Francisco Goya. Our installation will be bookended by two large paintings, both nine by fifteen feet. In the centre part of the space will be clusters of smaller works.
