When: Saturday May 27, 2017; 9:00 – 5:00 Where: UBC Okanagan Campus ASC 130 – Lecture Theatre Who: A course for parents, teachers, educational assistants, early childhood educators, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, therapy assistants, behaviour consultants and behaviour interventionists working with children from 18 months to upper elementary ages. Participants will learn to: - Identify different types of players. - Understand the strengths and risks associated with different types of players. - Learn the 6 core developmental skills of imaginative play. - Understand the developmental sequence of skills within the core skills. - Learn strategies and tools to scaffold and encourage the development of play. ** Pre-registration is required.
