Taste India - Poppadoms/Waterfront Wines Collaboration
Poppadoms is launching their third installment of collaborative dinners with Vancouver Magazine’s ‘Best Restaurant in the Okanagan’, Waterfront Wines. This Indian-inspired celebration will bring together the culinary talents of Owner, Chef & Sommelier Mark Filatow of Waterfront Wines and Chef Jas Dosanj of Poppadoms.
The Indian-inspired collaboration dinner will take place at Poppadoms restaurant on Sunday May 11, 2014 (Mother’s Day). The special dinner will include a unique 4-course menu paired with wine and cocktail.
“We at Waterfront admire the thoughtfulness of the food and drink at Poppadoms. Our team is excited to work outside of our comfort zone, to learn new things, and take the ‘show’ on the road”.
The 4-course set menu will allow guests to experience contemporary Indian dishes with an added Okanagan twist. The dinner will include plated and family-style courses with pairings. Poppadoms Bartender and ‘2013 Okanagan Spirits Winetender’s Mixoff People’s Choice Winner’, Harry Dosanj, will be behind the bar mixing up his Indian-inspired cocktails.
“We’re really excited to cook with and learn from one of my favourite Okanagan Chefs, Chef Mark and Waterfront. We’ve spoken a lot about our love of India and the food, and as Mark has just come back from his own trip to India, it’s going to be a special dinner” said Aman Dosanj (Owner, Poppadoms).
Tickets will be sold for $95 per person (excluding taxes and gratuity). To reserve tickets, please contact Poppadoms at 778.753.5563 or hello@poppadoms.ca.
