Have you ever wanted to be an paleontologist, a soldier or a pioneer gold panner? This program takes place at a different museum each week, allowing you to learn and experience a variety of fun, hands on activities. Join us every Friday this summer from 10am – 1pm to participate in one of our drop-in programs!  July 10th S.O.S: Be a soldier for the day Be a soldier for the day! Explore the Okanagan Military Museum and discover stories from Okanagan soldiers. July 17th Digging for Dinosaurs: Be a palaeontologist Be a palaeontologist! Dig for fossils and discover dinosaurs with some fun interactive activities. July 24th Silly Bugs: Be an entomologist Be an Entomologist! Bugs are wiggly, sometimes gross, but always fascinating! Learn about entomology (the study of insects) with some fun activities. July 31st Fun with Furs: Be a Fur Trader Be a fur trader! Take a trip back to pioneer days and learn about our founding fathers and the fascinating trade of furs with some interactive activities. August 7th Making Money: Be an engraver Be an Engraver! Stamps & money are really beautiful works of art, ever wonder how they’re made? Visit the newest exhibit “Voices from the Engraver” at the Okanagan Heritage Museum and learn what it takes to be an engraver. August 14th Digging for Dinosaurs: Be a palaeontologist Be a palaeontologist! Dig for fossils and discover dinosaurs with some fun interactive activities. August 21st Species @ Risk: Be an environmental hero Be an environmental hero! Many species are at risk, how can we protect them? Learn about environmental conservation and how we can help keep our furry friends safe. August 28th Panning for Gold: Be a Gold Panner Be a pioneer gold miner! The Gold Rush was an exciting time in our history, learn about how our founding fathers were able to strike it rich panning for gold.
