Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?

Toronto/KW, Ontario

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
I've always been a people person but lately, I really value my alone time.

What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Probably Natures Fare, they offer so many options.

Describe yourself in one word.
Independent

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
I've been wanting to spend some time in Central Europe in the area where I can take the train/boat easily from place to place.

What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
I really enjoyed being out on a boat this summer, I don't do that enough. Since I don't have my own I'm open to sharing or to invites, just putting it out there!

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
My marriage ending, especially because of being well-known in the community as an advocate for families & good relationships.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?

Most recently it has to be, people believing in me enough to encourage me to write, vlog, podcast, speak and share my story, my pain, my growth, my experience, knowledge, and passions.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Other than Disney World, I think I would say when I bought my first Ghetto Blaster (Boom Box) while away in Florida just so I could listen to the newly released Boy II Men cassette!

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I've spent many years serving in church, sports, political, & cultural areas of our community. However, I believe the next phase involves more of my experience working with men in recovery. But now because of my book, vlog, etc. coaching with people (men especially) who have been, are considering, or are going through separation/divorce.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
The high cost of living.

Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Tugboat Bay/Boardwalk when it's quiet.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
Do I have to pick one? Affordable housing for sure, diversity & infrastructure too. I believe the middle-class industry could help with much of that since we have such a gap in classes.

What do you think makes Kelowna great?
It's beauty!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

1. Establish a legacy not just financially but as a full person with vision and purpose for my kids while I'm still living!

2. Work with people I respect in the relationships/PD community such as Jay Shetty & Esther Perel.

3. Build a successful Boutique Record Company and work with some people I admire in the industry. Music has always been a major part of my life outside of basketball!

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
Even though I'm a "baby author" I plan to write 2 more books in the near future.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
@kevin.kishor on Instagram, @chocolatecoveredfrenchfries on Facebook, Kevin Kishor on Youtube & Linkedin

What is the name of your business/organization?
Chocolate Covered French fries: A Recipe for Any Relationship

Why did you get into/start this business?
My experience moved me to write, vlog, etc.

What is the goal of your business?
To positively contribute to living good relationships. We do not have many blueprints in our lives yet all life is are relationships!

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Finding the best way to have an impact.

If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?

We are a product of our experiences for sure. But if I could start over, there are many things I would do differently!

What do you always find yourself saying?
There is no time like now!

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Read My Book!

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
That's tough, but if it was one on one then at this stage I guess Tony Robbins. I just feel because he has done it already therefore, his career achievements & impact models the path I envision as well.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
It supports local owners, industry & families.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Other than being a dad, publishing my first book on Amazon 100%!

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Chris Veale, not only because he's one of my closest & oldest friends but he chose to leave a life of travelling to settle in Kelowna and build a business & life here.
