Meet Samantha! Samantha is originally from Vancouver and has been living here in the beautiful Okanagan for 20 years now. She enjoys paddleboarding out on the lake with wine in hand, sneaking out to a beach for some alone time, and spending some quality time with her boyfriend.
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
Originally Vancouver but I have lived in Kelowna for 20 years now!
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My boyfriend and my dogs.
What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Better Earth Gardens & Tropics - I LOVE PLANTS!
Describe yourself in one word.
Wholehearted
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Bali - it's where I feel the most ignited.
What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Paddle Boarding in Lake Country with a little wine in my water bottle.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Skipping rope in grade 4 during recess while wearing TEAR AWAYS... I still remember them fully snapping off and thinking my life was over!
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Opening up my business, PACE Spin Studio. It was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever done, but at the same time embracing the overwhelming rush of growth that came with it and continues to, has been so worth it. Striving to forever get uncomfortable so that the inspiration and creativity continues to flow!
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Visiting my grandma every summer in Vancouver and walking to Granville Island to spend the day by the ocean.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
PACE is only four months into the game, but myself and the team have big big plans for what we plan to do with our platform. We already have quite a few events and rides in the making to support local charities and individuals, stay tuned!
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
The way we treat each other. Everyone is an equal and kindness is everything!
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Any beach access where I can dig my feet into the sand and just sit awhile.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
The more and more dog friendly establishments.

What is the name of your business/organization?
PACE Spin Studio
Why did you get into/start this business?
I started working at a spin studio while living in Calgary and felt like I wanted to take my passion for spin and community to another level. PACE isn't just spin studio, it's a healthy lifestyle choice where you come to sweat with intention.
What is the goal of your business?
To create a safe s(pace) for everyone and anyone to come and accept honouring their pace, on and off the bike.
What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Comparison - it's something I find myself pretending I don't do, but definitely do it! I'm learning to lean into life with more softness and understanding that my journey is MY journey.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I wouldn't want to start over! I have learnt to accept all the lows and highs throughout my life. If I didn't, I wouldn't be immersed in the feeling of complete gratitude and contentment in which I feel now.
What do you always find yourself saying?
"Doesn't matter to me", I am SO indecisive."

"Being is showing up"
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My boyfriend. Life is just easy and sweet with him.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
So we can continue to build up our economy full of more risk taking and passionate entrepreneurs!
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Manifesting opening up a business by the age of 26. And then opening up my business at the age of 26.
