It’s Mother’s Day today and, as per tradition, members of the KelownaNow team want to give a shoutout to the moms that helped us make it through life thus far.
To the ladies who changed our diapers as babies, chased us around as toddlers, guided us through high school and still managed to love us as teens and now continue to cheer us on in adulthood — we love you and thank you for everything!
I'm lucky to have such an incredible, caring and supportive mom that has been there for me every step of the way as I navigate this crazy life.
She's persevered through some unimaginably tough times in recent years, but continues to provide unconditional love and guidance to me and my siblings.
Mom, I'll always look up to you and I love you so much. Happy Mother's Day!
Today I celebrate what you have given me over my 30 years.
Unconditional love, endless support, patience, open-mindedness, kindness, respect and the want to be a better woman.
I hope I can be half the mother you are to my own children, and they will be the luckiest kids to have you as their grandma.
Thank you for always putting up with my travel bug, my stubbornness and for being one of my biggest fans when playing volleyball. Here's to you mom, I love you very much.
My mother is a ray of light in my life and the lives of so many others!
She's a teacher, nurse and probably the most beloved person I've ever had the pleasure to hang out with.
The best thing about Deb is you can take her to a music festival, skiing, surfing or just sit around the house with her and she will always do it with a smile and the best attitude you'll find on this planet.
This Mother’s Day I want to thank my mom for being an inspiring, compassionate, and strong woman.
I truly couldn’t have become the person I am today without her wisdom and guidance.
Thank you mom, for always answering the phone when I need you, for always pushing me to be better, and for always picking me up when I’m down.
I want to wish a happy Mother's Day to a wonderful one-of-a-kind woman.
You're not only an inspiration to us kids but the whole community as well. Love you lots!
My mother is the greatest role model I could have ever asked for.
She has taught me respectful values, and the experiences she has been able to give me have taught me valuable lessons. I pray I am like her in the future.
I’ve definitely been referred to as a momma’s boy, and it’s hard to shake that title when you fit it.
I love my mom because she’s always looking out for her kids and she’s two steps ahead on everything — I thought getting housing supplies for 17th my birthday was lame until I left to University to realize how expensive housing supplies are.
She’s definitely got that mother’s intuition, and even while she continues to push me to learn and grow and will be the first to tell me she’s proud of my accomplishments, she’s also there to humble me and remind me that I’ve never been as cool as I think I am. Love you, Mom!
My mom has always taught me to go after what I want in life, stay true to myself, be kind to everyone I meet and to talk less and listen more.
She is strong, compassionate, giving and always willing to lend a hand to someone who needs it. She is wickedly smart, devilishly funny and beautiful both inside and out.
Oh, and she also introduced me to Def Leppard and CCR which I am forever indebted to her for. Happy Mother’s Day you wonderful lady, I’m sorry I can’t be there with you.
My mom has always been a best friend.
She is always super encouraging and has me believing I can do anything. She always has a great sense of humour and finds joy in the simplest things. Please excuse the outfits, it was 1976.
