With Halloween now under three weeks away, children and adults alike are beginning to scramble to find the most unique costumes for October 31st.
Some of the most seen costumes this year will likely come from blockbuster movies but there could be a rise in more creative pieces as well.
If you are stuck on what to wear this Halloween, take a look at some of our most anticipated costumes for a spooktacular night:
Marvel:
Thanos: The Mad Titan will be a sought-after commodity this Halloween after he thoroughly dismantled the Avengers in 2018’s Infinity War. His purple skin could be applied at home while the costume wouldn’t break the Bank. Fun isn’t something one considers when balancing the universe but it is when you’re wearing this costume!
Thor: The Norse God of Thunder is a great choice for adults and children. His short hair makes it a much easier costume to nail and you will be able to choose between Stormbreaker or Mjolnir, both of his trusty hammers.
Black Panther: Black Panther skyrocketed to fame after his first solo film in February. Many children, as well as adults, will rock the sleek black look while shouting “Wakanda Forever” whenever they get the chance.
Venom: Tom Hardy did a great job in Sony's Venom meaning children and adults will rush at the chance to dress as Venom. Look for mostly morphsuits to be his style.
The Incredibles:
Mrs. Incredible: Elastigirl will be a hot costume this year as the femme fatale was the real hero of Incredibles 2. She had two new looks and made for a great movie. Other than Jack-Jack, she was the best part of the film.
Mr. Incredible: The big guy was a lot more popular in 2004 when the original movie came out, but still look for a few people dressed as Bob Parr. Mr. and Mrs. Incredible could be the hottest couples costume of 2018.
Dinosaurs:
T-Rex: Like most years the only dinosaurs you will see on the streets will be the ferocious T-Rex, not that it’s a bad thing. More likely than not there will be a hundred inflatable dinosaurs running around come the 31st.
Star Wars:
Han Solo: Though his first “Solo” movie was a blockbuster blunder, that has never stopped Star Wars fans from dressing as the iconic character. Disney gave a much younger take on the character which could have kids wanting to become the rebel smuggler in real life.
Chewbacca: RRRAARRWHHGWWR! Admit it, you tried to say that using the voice. In all seriousness, Chewbacca is the Ying to Han’s Yang and the wookie has always had an enormous following. Han and Chewie would be the greatest buddy costume this Halloween.
Memes:
Moth and Lamp: In what will easily be the greatest couples costume this year, Moth and Lamp is a beloved meme. Don’t have a partner to do this with? Dress up like a moth and you will surely find a lamp at some point during the night!

Yodel Boy: Though the world may be getting a little tired of Mason Ramsey, his look isn’t hard to pull off. Just grab some boots, jeans, and button-up and sing.

Fortnite:
Skull Trooper: When gamers are spending upwards of $4,000 just to own an account with this skin on it, you know it’s a good one. Fortnite has multiple skins dedicated to Halloween and millions of players worldwide, so to see everyone's favourite skin on children and adults won’t be shocking. What’s perfect about this costume is if you see another person wearing it, it is not the end of the world as you can just squad up!
Ghoul Trooper: In what’s now considered the rarest skin in Fortnite to own, it’s actually very easy to do it yourself. All you need is a tank top, green and pink paint and a good attitude!
Cuddle Team: Another great couples costume, this skin has the Fortnite for him and the pink cuddly teddy bear for her!

Donald Trump: Love him or hate him, there is always one person.
Forest Critters:
Deer: The deer has become a fairly popular costume of late, with primarily women dawning the outfit. It is easy to make, makeup up is a good time and everyone will love your antlers.
Tiger: One of the fiercest predators in the animal kingdom and one of the most radical costumes ever. Whiskers are easy to draw and it should be hard to find black and orange fabric around Halloween.
Squirrel: Being a squirrel has never looked so practical. Whether you’re a flying squirrel or just trying to find nuts for the winter, it has never been a better time to dress as a squirrel.
Mythical:
Unicorn: Earlier today we asked five women and five men if they would dress as a unicorn for Halloween, nine of them said yes. People love the idea of a horse with a horn.

Fairy: Wings? Check. Glitter? Check. Having a heck of a good time this Halloween? Check.
Under the Sea:
Mermaid: Many people are gathering inspiration from December’s Aquaman movie into dressing as a mermaid, others just love the movie The Little Mermaid, either way, it will be a popular costume.
Neptune: Adapting the mermaid into a couples costume would be by making your significant other dress as Neptune, God of the Sea. The only problem with this costume is it may be a little chilly come the 31st.
Justice League:
Aquaman: Everyone loves Jason Momoa, so it won’t be a surprise to see people dressed as Aquaman in 2018. His first solo movie comes out this December so watch for it to be a hot take.
Batman: Though Batfleck is not many people’s first choice for the caped crusader, Batman has been a popular costume choice since the 1980’s. Batman is not going anywhere.
Wonder Woman: Regarded as the best female hero ever to hit the big screen, the Wonder Woman army will show up this Halloween much like they did last year.
Feline:
Cat: In what has become the most basic costume of all time, the cats will rise again. When walking the Streets on Halloween night, don’t be surprised to see anywhere from 500-7,000 ladies dressed in this at the bar. All you need to complete the ensemble is a shirt, leggings, cat ears, a tail, and some mascara.
