Inventor Francis Bibbo devised the idea of using charcoal fabric to absorb molecules emitted during night time flatulence. He got the idea from military chemical suits that employ the same type of fabric.
The original idea came to Bibbo when he purchased a suit made with the activated carbon fabric because he was looking for a way to keep animals from detecting his scent while hunting. While official website for the Blanket has shut down there are still blankets available on eBay.
