A picture can say 1,000 words and so can a 23-second video, apparently.
On Wednesday, Victoria Heaney posted a short clip of her brother Matthew to Twitter and it’s started to go viral for all the right reasons.
My family left a hockey stick on our porch for the humboldt broncos, and our ring doorbell caught this video of my little brother looking at the stick when he came home from school. Watch until the end, heartbreaking. #humboldtstrong pic.twitter.com/6I9Zu6gF9V

The video shows the 12-year-old approaching and picking up the Humboldt Broncos tribute stick that the family left out on their front porch in Ontario.
Matthew picks up the stick, gives it a few flexes and admires it like any young Canadian would admire their hockey stick.
As he goes to place it back in it’s resting place, he quickly gives the stick a little kiss where it has green stick tape.
The video has been viewed 170,000 times, retweeted 2,700 times and has garnered nearly 10,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
As the entire country and beyond comes together to wear jerseys today, the emotion in young Matthew’s face sums up how the hockey world has felt for the last 6 days.
