If you’re sending a gift to your cousin in Moncton, your grandma in England or even your pen-pal in Shanghai, it’s ideal that the gift arrives as close to December 25th as possible.
With that in mind, Purolator released it’s holiday shipping schedule on Monday, which tells you when you have to ship by to have your package arrive at it’s destination on Christmas eve.
“No one wants to miss out on getting their special holiday packages delivered when it matters the most,” said Paul Merrick, VP of Field Operations at Purolator.
The schedule is as follows:
| DESTINATION | Send-by date for arrival by Dec. 24 |
| Canada, next-day delivery (where available) | Thursday, December 22nd |
| United States, next-day delivery (where available) | Wednesday, December 21st |
| West Europe, including the UK, France and Germany | Monday, December 19th |
| Australia | Monday, December 19th |
| Mexico, Caribbean, South and Central America | Monday, December 19th |
| Far East, including China, Japan and Thailand | Friday, December 16th |
| United States, via ground delivery | Wednesday, December 14th |
| Other (i.e. Eastern Europe, Africa, South Asia and the Middle East) | Monday, December 12th |
Purolator also included some tips on how to get the best experience with shipping things this holiday season.
Those tips include things like using new and durable shipping boxes, wrapping all items individually with materials like bubble wrap rather than newspaper, placing precious cargo in the centre of the box and retaining a copy of your package identification number for easy tracking.
