Fill Your Own Cup Day at 7-Eleven is coming up

The forecast doesn’t call for sun this weekend, but that doesn’t mean it’s not the perfect time to grab a slurpee.

Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th, are Bring Your Own Cup Days at participating 7-Eleven stores across Canada.

That means you can bring in any kind of container, as long as it fits into a couple of guidelines, and fill it up with your favourite slurpee flavours for just $1.50.

Before you take a wheelbarrow to 7-Eleven on the weekend, however, there is a size limit and your container must be 26 centimetres or less.

There are a few other guidelines for the promotion, but for the most part, any container that seems reasonable will likely do the trick.

  • Slurpee Cup must fit inside the magic measuring hole/device displayed in store.
  • Container used for this contest must fit within a 26 cm diameter. Cups when full must fit within a specific size limit: 26cm wide x 26cm high.
  • Container must be able to withhold liquids.
  • Cups must be hygienic, clean, watertight (no drips or leaks allowed), and fixed in size and shapes (no inflatables).
  • One container per customer per day. No refills allowed.
  • Container must be food safe clean of any contaminants.
  • Individual Stores and its staff have the right to restrict containers should there be any deemed food safety issues, or matters such as cleanliness, impacted health regulations, type of cup, or size of cup.
