(UPDATE: April 19, 2018 @ 8 a.m.)

The GoFundMe page for the Humboldt Broncos has officially closed.

Overall, the campaign has raised 15,185,400 in 12 days.

Although donations are no longer being accepted, the site will remain online to update the public regarding the allocation of the funds.

According to the site, all funds donated through the GoFundMe are set to be transferred to a newly created non-profit corporation known as 'Humboldt Broncos Memorial Fund Inc.'

People who wish to donate can now do so through the Humboldt Strong website.

With the momentum gained after yesterdays jersey day, the campaign shows no signs of plateauing anytime soon.

The site even crashed multiple times as traffic to the page was too high.

"This response was very unexpected, and I'm grateful the world came together to show it cares and am so thankful for the GoFundMe platform and team - just amazing," says GoFundMe organizer Sylvie Kellington.

According to the campaign, all the money will stay in GoFundMe's system for now.

(UPDATE: April 10, 2018 @ 8:30 a.m.)

The town of Humboldt continues to see an incredible amount of support through its GoFundMe page.

As of now, $7 million has been raised by over 91,000 people.

Although raising $3 million more than its last goal, the page is still open for donations.

Along with the funds donated, WestJet will be offering help to any Broncos family member needing assistance getting to Saskatoon.

"Thank you so much to everyone for your generosity and words of love and support. I will be passing everything on to team management," says Sylvie Kellington, the GoFundMe page founder.

(UPDATE: April 9, 2018 @ 8:30 a.m.)

People continue to show their generosity following Friday night's horrific bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos hockey team.

The GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the surviving players and families affected by the tragedy has gone over $5 million.

More than 72,000 people have donated to the cause to achieve the impressive total.

Sylvie Kellington, who started the GoFundMe, has been in contact with Broncos management to make sure all of the money goes to the appropriate places.

For now, however, the amount raised continues to grow and you can lend your support by making a donation on the GoFundMe page.

(UPDATE: April 8, 2018 @ 4:00 p.m.)

The fundraising goal of $4 million was met just before 4 p.m. PST today.

The GoFundMe page has the following update:

"There are no words that could express the incredible support the hockey community has seen here. Almost 60,000 people from almost 60 countries around the world have heard our story and were moved to help. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and prayers, your donations, and for sharing this GoFundMe far and wide. More updates to come."

The fundraising page was started following the tragic crash that involved the Broncos bus and a semi-trailer.

As of now, 14 out of 28 people are confirmed dead and another three are in critical condition.

Sylvie Kellington, a Humboldt resident, took it upon herself to start the GoFundMe page for the families affected.

Kellington has a son that used to play for the Broncos Bantam A team, so the hockey family is close to her heart.

Kellington set a goal of $100,000 that was quickly reached in less than 12 hours.

She has since updated that goal to $200,000, which has again been reached and exceeded by over 4,000 people.

According to the fundraiser, the money will be dispersed to the families at an appropriate time to help with any expenses.

The team’s management has been made the beneficiary and will collect and distribute the funds.
