Canada’s only desert, Osoyoos, B.C is a quick, 1 hour and 38 minute drive from Kelowna, making it the perfect little road trip if you want to catch a few rays and enjoy the great outdoors. With some of the highest average temperatures in Canada year round, this beautiful town is sure to have you feeling all warm and fuzzy. The drive itself will take you past three magnificent lakes, and don’t be afraid to pull off for a quick swim!

This little town in the South Okanagan is anything but ordinary. With an Olde English tudor style vibe, you are sure to feel the nostalgia when strolling downtown. Take a step back in time with a journey on the Kettle Valley Railway, or spend the day perusing the finest antique shops. Rich in history and heritage, the town of Summerland is like a whole museum.
Take in British Columbia’s gorgeous countryside with a trip to Armstrong. Settled amongst the dairy farms towards Shuswap Lake, this Western style town is just a 1 hour drive from Kelowna.
When in Armstrong, you cannot miss the award-winning fair, the Armstrong IPE. At the fair you can partake in fun amusement park rides, learn about agriculture, check out the rodeo, and support local vendors.
The drive from Kelowna to Armstrong features not only plenty of rolling fields and farmland, but also the ridiculously blue waters of Kalamalka Lake.
Filled with beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see, the Westside Road route, that takes you from West Kelowna to Vernon, is truly breathtaking. This unique roadway follows the shores of Okanagan Lake, so don’t forget to bring your camera along to snap some incredible scenic photos!
