West Kelowna is one of the fastest growing cities in the province, appealing to residents of all ages and stages of life. Situated between the lively metropolis of Kelowna and the quaint and quiet district of Peachland, West Kelowna is a perfect blend of the two. It offers all the conveniences of urban living while cultivating a feeling of close-knit community and providing ample opportunities to be a tourist in your own backyard.

Whether you call the Westside home or you have yet to discover it, there are an abundance of activities awaiting you.
Cheap Movies
There are plenty of movie theatres in Kelowna, but the Westside’s Encore Theatre is the only local cinema where you’ll get a regular admission for only $4! It gets even better on Toonie Thursday when, you guessed it, a ticket is just $2!
Wineries by the Dozen
Scratch that, there are actually 13 wineries on the Westside Wine Trail. Those include some of the oldest, as well as some of the newest wineries in the Okanagan Valley. A wealth of wine on one convenient trail, what more could you want?

Go Nuts
Extending from four hectares of land all the way to the water, Gellatly Bay is host to many attractions. Gellatly Nut Farm, the most historic of these attractions, still stands today and currently operates as a working heritage farm. With a 3km lakeside promenade, a waterfront zipline, sandy beaches, grassy picnic areas, an off-leash dog park, a playground, and a marina, there’s something for everyone at Gellatly Bay.
Parks and Recreation
We’re not talking about the popular TV show, we’re referring to the endless opportunities to get active in West Kelowna. There are more than 100 parks and some of the most scenic hiking trails in the Okanagan, including Glen Canyon, Mount Boucherie, Rose Valley, Smith Creek, Kalamoir Park, Rotary Trails, Fintry Park, and Bear Creek, just to name a few.

Treat your Tastebuds
Hit the Westside Farm Loop for an opportunity to pick your own produce straight off the vine. For those less inclined to get their hands dirty, there’s plenty of pre-packed fruits, vegetables and baked goods for purchase. You’ll find more mouth-watering treats every Saturday at the Westbank Farmer’s Market from July to September.
Move to the Music
Courtesy of the city, the newly opened Memorial Park amphitheatre will play host to Music in the Park artists on Friday nights all summer long and will feature special acts during Westside Daze, the West Kelowna World Music Festival, and on Canada Day.

Get Crafty
The Art in the Park series brings local artists and their work to outdoor venues throughout the summer. You can also take the self-guided Westside Studio Tour to view displayed paintings, woodwork, artisan jewelry, and sculptures. Take a piece home for your art collection!

Boost Your Brain
Embrace history with a trip to the Westbank Museum where you can view over 6,500 artifacts that outline the rich history of Westbank and surrounding areas. Stop by the Sncəwips Heritage Museum for exhibits that will enhance your understanding of First Nation culture, art, and history in the Okanagan.
Go on a Safari
You won’t find lions, tigers or bears at Safari Ridge, but kids, teens, and those young at heart can hone their survival skills with friends or family at the outdoor paintball park or laser tag field. The new Clash of Arrows game allows players to use bows, arrows, and shields in a (safe and secure) battle against their opponents.
There’s so much to discover, explore and experience on the Westside. If you’re thinking of making the move to West Kelowna, consider Gellatly Place. This new community of contemporary two and three bedroom homes offers breathtaking lake views and is nestled amongst the beauty of Gellatly Regional Park. Visit the Show Suite open daily 11- 4 p.m. at Gellatly Place. Adventure Starts Here!
