The Rotary Season of Giving Calendar, a local spin on your typical Christmas advent calendar, is a fundraising initiative for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kelowna General Hospital and the Child Advocacy Center.
An unexpected gift from a local philanthropist has Kelowna families being given the chance to win over 200 prizes this Christmas. Brent Marshall, local commercial Realtor and Business Broker at Business Finders Canada, has purchased all remaining Seasons of Giving Calendars to then gift to other charities such as Mamas for Mamas, Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Now Canada and the Elizabeth Fry Society.
“I want to help the Kelowna Sunrise Rotary hit their fundraising goal of $250,000 for the Child Advocacy Centre and the Neonatal Unit through the KGH Foundation, and while also helping as many others as possible,” Marshall explains.
“This collaboration amongst charities is unprecedented and setting a new standard in helping others during these times.”
