While dining in a Hawaiian cafe with her husband, Markus, Annie Frind admired the carefully selected decorations and artwork that adorned this welcoming ambiance. From their seats near the ocean, a soft breeze combined with the tropical heat created a sense of homely warmth that overtook both Annie and Markus as they eased into this welcoming foreign environment.
The cozy feeling of home brought ease and happiness into their life while gifting Annie with an urge to provide something like this to their community in West Kelowna.
Immediately, Annie was inspired to provide people in West Kelowna with a place where they too could enjoy themselves near the water. So she prepared an impromptu speech and proceeded to passionately persuade Markus to join her quest to create an experience like this at their new lakefront property in West Kelowna. That's how Annie and Markus Frind, who purchased the historic Bennett Family Estate in 2017, decided that Frind Estate Winery and Annie's Cafe & Lounge would become a place where you can wander with lust.

What Annie has created is a perfect little getaway for those who enjoy a morning walk through West Kelowna or a ride on their bicycle through the neighbourhood to anyone residing in the Okanagan and beyond to feel welcomed at Frind Estate Winery. It's a dining experience, unlike anything you could find in Canada.
Being relatively new, it has become a hit with the locals. One of the favourite experiences has become coming in for brunch to dine on the sunny patio and once satiated, guests follow their brunch with a wine tasting and enjoy a stroll through the rose garden with their drink.
