The new Galaxy Note 7 by Samsung is being recalled because some phones have exploded and caught on fire.
According to a statement by Samsung, an investigation found that the explosions were caused by a battery cell issue.
A Samsung user that goes by the name Ariel Gonzalez posted a video about his phone that exploded. Gonzalez said he came home after work and put it on charge for a bit before heading to class.
When he went to put it on his waist before heading out the door, it caught fire.
Gonzalez said he has had the phone for only two weeks.
There have been 35 cases reported globally and Samsung stated an investigation is underway with the suppliers to identify how many batteries could be affected.
Galaxy Note 7 phones will no longer be sold.
