VIDEO: Young teen falls from ride at Six Flags

A dramatic video is circulating about a young teen who fell about 25 feet from a ride at Six Flags Great Escape at Lake George, New York on Saturday evening.

The video shows her trying to free herself from the Sky Ride ride while onlookers are yelling, "Her neck is stuck."

Then a man starts yelling, "They'll catch you, honey," encouraging her to let go.

She eventually lets go and a group of fellow amusement park goers catch her follow before she's quickly rushed to medical attention.

The ride she fell from is called the Sky Ride and is a two-person, slow-moving gondola.

The girl has been identified as a 14-year-old from Greenwood, Delaware. The 14-year-old girl who fell was riding the car with a child relative.

"At approximately 8:05 p.m. on June 24, 2017, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and emergency medical services were dispatched to the Six Flags Amusement Park after a park guest fell from a ride," stated a spokesperson for Six Flags.

The gondola-style ride spans about several hundred feet across the park.

"It had been brought to a stop by the ride operator after having received a radio transmission from park staff on the ground that a rider was in distress. The victim fell from the car striking a tree before landing in a crowd of park guests and employees that had gathered underneath the car in an attempt to catch the victim before she hit the ground."

The the girl was treated by park emergency medical personnel and then taken by amublance to the Glen Falls Hospital.

"The victim was later transported via helicopter to the Albany Medical Center where she remains in stable condition with no serious injuries reported."

However, one of the onlookers who helped catch the younger has suffered a back injury.

"A 47-year-old Schenectady man who was also a guest at the park was transported to Glens Falls Hospital where he was treated and released for a back injury, suffered as he was attempting to catch the falling victim.

Sheriff’s Investigators assisted by park personnel inspected the ride and the car the victim was riding in and found that everything was in proper working order and all safety equipment was intact and operational at the time of the incident.

Queensbury Central Fire, West Glens Falls EMS, and Bay Ridge EMS assisted at the scene," stated the spokesperson for Six Flags.

Six Flags is not conducting any interviews at this time.

The final comment from the man shooting the video questions if Six Flags had any sort of emergency rescue plan in place for this ride.
