Rihanna, Pharrell, more remember Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington

Throughout yesterday, artists from all corners of the creative world paid tribute to late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington.

Early reports say the 41-year-old committed suicide.

Bennington’s Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda also confirmed the news, saying he was “shocked and heartbroken.

Over the years, Bennington had a very public struggle with drugs and alcohol, while Linkin Park gathered mainstream success in the early 2000's.

Chester... You and the guys all influenced an entire generation. You went so hard and set so many kids free of their environments and situations. You let NERD open for you in Germany, we'll never forget that show; YOU CRUSHED IT. The last time I saw you, you gave us chills. Your essence is amongst the stars. Rest now, 🙏🏾

Bennington is survived by his six children and wife Talinda Bennington.
