What is the goal of your business?
To elevate cats and cat furniture.
Why did you start your business?
Frankly, I was tired of looking at and cleaning up the mess from the unsightly cat tower that was taking over way too much of our living room floor space. Searching for alternative options for the cat, so Boris could still see out a window and be up high, were limited to hard shelves and other over-the-top products. Necessity is the mother of invention. Sixteen prototypes later and the stylishly subtle purrfect wall mounted cat hammock and sisal scratching steps was born.
What makes your story unique?
Funny how things turn out, I wasn't actually looking to start a product-based business. I moved back to Kelowna with my family after 18 years working for the Federal Government had left me a wee bit burnt out. When easing back into the workforce, I would never have imagined hearing myself say "I make cat hammocks" as an answer to the "so what do you do now" question.
Do you have anything extra you’d like to share?
One aspect of the business I really enjoy is our connection to our clients. It is so fun when clients share photos or videos of their cat(s) enjoying their new perches. We also have a few of the biggest names, in terms of cat celebrities, as clients (you'll have to follow us on Instagram to see who they are!) Everyone likes cat videos right? Giving back, even as a small business, is also important. We donate products to shelters and rescue organizations across North America.

The prize can not be exchanged for cash and is non-transferable. The winner must have a valid driver's license and be 19 years and older. Taxes and fees are not included in the prize.
