Five things you need to know
1. Amazon’s first cashierless store opens in Seattle today
The future is here, but is it a good thing? The first ever Amazon Go opened in Seattle today. The store is completely cashierless and customers will need to download the appropriate app to shop there. Shoppers will scan their phone to enter the store, pick up their groceries and simply walk out.

2. Philadelphia and New England will play for the Super Bowl
The NFL season is down to two teams and just one game. The New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles are set to play for the Super Bowl on Feb. 4. While the Pats and their fans had a “been there before” attitude about their win over Jacksonville, the city of Philadelphia went a little nuts after their big win. City officials greased light poles so people wouldn’t climb them, but their plan didn’t work in the slightest.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo pays the price for a nice header goal
One of the world’s top soccer players isn’t afraid to get a little messy. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a beautiful header goal on Sunday, but paid the price for doing so. A defender was trying to clear the ball with a high kick as Ronaldo headed it in, catching the Portuguese international directly in the face. Ronaldo’s face was cut on the play.
