1. Conservative Party suspends leadership race, citing COVID-19 pandemic

The Conservative party of Canada has suspended the leadership race due to COVID-19. The previously scheduled debates on April 17 and April 23, as well as the leadership event on June 27 are all cancelled. The committee is set to reconvene on May 1, 2020 to reevaluate the situation.

2. Bob Dylan releases a 17-minute epic about the assassination of John F. Kennedy

Bob Dylan has released his first brand new song in eight years, which is 17-minutes long. The song details the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy. His fans on Twitter are thanking the iconic songwriter for dropping the surprise release in the middle of a pandemic.

3. NASA to launch rover, taking names of nearly 11 million people to Mars

The Perseverance rover is set to launch to Mars between July and August 2020, taking along with it the names of 10,932,295 people across the world who took part in the space agency's "Send Your Name to Mars" campaign.

4. Man thanks ER nurse who saved his wife in middle of COVID-19 pandemic

A powerful moment was photographed outside an ER in New Jersey, USA. A nurse took a heartwarming photo of the husband of a patient she cared for when he arrived with a message of gratitude.

5. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson tests positive for coronavirus

The British Prime Minister is self isolating after testing positive for coronavirus. He reportedly has mild symptoms and will continue to lead the UK's response to the pandemic.
