An early morning shooting in Fredericton sent shockwaves across the country today.
Four people were killed in the incident, including a pair of officers from the Fredericton Police.
Not much is known about the shooting, but Fredericton Police have confirmed that the suspect is in custody and being treated for “serious injuries.”

In the meantime, tributes have been pouring in from across Canada and beyond, including tributes from the country’s other police departments.
From the Vancouver Police to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, it’s clear that this morning’s shooting has shaken officers across the country.
The names of the two fallen officers have yet to be released, but the rest of the Fredericton Police department has to be feeling the love during what has to be an incredibly difficult time.
