Mother’s Day Outdoor Cinema at Grizzli Winery
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched the classic film The Parent Trap, but I could watch it a hundred more times.
This is one of our family favourites and Grizzli Winery is playing it at their fabulous outdoor cinema event on May 8th at 7:30.
Arrive early to play lawn games and grab delicious snacks like freshly popped kettle corn from the food trucks that will be on-site. Tickets are just $10 and children under 12 are free.
Sip & Click Mother’s Day Sessions
Join Jessica Joy Photo at The View Winery for a 15 minute session to capture stunning family photos with the apple blossoms on May 8th between 12 pm and 4 pm.
10 Edited images are included with your private session with the option to purchase more.
Jessica has a unique eye for capturing candid family moments. She has taken many of the amazing shots you see of our family as we adventure through BC.
Find her at @jessicajoyphoto on Instagram. Picnics in the orchard are also being held at The View Winery which includes a picnic and flight of 5 wines or ciders.

The Tea Box is customizable with menu options such as French Macaroons, local fruit preserves, Devonshire Cream, Lemon Lavender Scones and more.

Mother’s Day Yoga and Mimosas with Grace & Flow
Let mom unwind from the stress of taking care of everyone else in her life with yoga and mimosas on May 8th at 11 am at Predator Ridge Resort.
This 60 minute class among the lavender is an Okanagan bucket list experience. You can also purchase passes for mom to use on her own time, such as the Sunset Stretch & Sip sessions.
Every wine-loving mom needs her very own Okanagan Wine Passport from Uncork BC. She’ll have access to complimentary tastings at over 66 wineries across BC.
The Passport is valued at $1100, having special deals on cases, shipping, and food at select wineries. I love the fun of collecting the stamps, and there’s even room for your personal tasting notes.
Find these for purchase ($75) on the Uncork BC website.
Floral Workshop with FleuRich Creations
Flowers are a classic way to say thank you to mom and if you want to support an amazing local florist, I can’t recommend FleuRich Creations enough!
Her arrangements are modern and absolutely stunning! Let mom get involved by attending the Mother’s Day Floral Workshop on May 8th from 10 to noon.
This event is hosted at Kitsch Wines in East Kelowna and includes your vase, stems, all materials, fresh pastries, stunning views and three beautifully paired wines.
Gone are the days of having to travel to Chilliwak for this epic display of endless tulips rows, now located in Armstrong, BC, the Bloom flower festival will feature over 20 varieties of tulips.
This orchestration of colour and whimsy can be made into a family tradition as this perennial bloom welcomes visitors starting at the beginning of May. Tickets sell out very fast and you can join the VIP list here.
East Kelowna Mother’s Love Market
Join the East Kelowna Market on May 8th starting at 10 am to experience 65 local vendors showcasing their craft, art, and delicious food. Food trucks will be on-site, giveaways happening all day, and kids can make a special craft for mom.
