Fireside Festival returns this winter with a brand-new format

Kelowna’s winter music festival is coming back for another year, but some changes are being made.

What used to be a three-day festival split between Red Bird Brewing and BNA Brewing will now be a two-day event hosted solely by the latter.

Fireside founder and creative director Aaron DeSilva says the new format is a result of wanting the event “to feel more intentional.”

“By bringing everything under one roof at BNA and building multiple stages, people can settle in for the whole weekend, connect with artists, discover new music and really plug into the Okanagan’s creative community in the middle of winter,” he explained.

Taking place Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb. 1, both days will feel very different as Fireside 2026 tries to put a diverse mix of live bands, DJs and electronic artists on display.

Saturday, labelled IGNITE, will go from 5 pm until 2 am and be 19+, with club-forward sets running on the Circle Stage in the main room, a second hidden stage will be devoted to bass music and movement.

Sunday, labelled Sun-Daydream, fires up at 2 pm and runs until midnight. It's all ages until 10 pm to make it accessible for families who want to experience the festivities together.

The afternoon will feature live bands and sets spanning indie, soul, party-funk and performance-driven work before the late-night show builds into electronic and DJ-driven sets to cap off the festival.
