A number of Canadian figure skaters, including Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue, will be bringing their Olympic magic to Kelowna this year.
“The Thank You Canada Tour” will roll into Prospera Place on Saturday, Oct. 6, featuring a number of Canada’s Olympic skaters and champions.
Alongside Moir and Virtue, that also includes Elvis Stojko, Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond, Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford.
“After a career that has taken us to many corners of the world, it’s thrilling to return to Canada and celebrate with those who have supported us every step of the way,” said Virtue.
“Visiting cities that don’t ordinarily get skating productions is particularly special to us, as we know first hand how important grassroots programs are in small towns - it’s how we got our start!”
While Kelowna isn’t exactly a small town, it’s one of just four B.C. stops on the 30 city tour, which also includes Abbotsford, Prince George and Dawson Creek.
The tour will make its way through all nine other provinces before ending in St. John’s, NL on Nov. 24.
Tickets for this can’t miss show, which range from $36.75 to $121.75 before taxes and service fees, will go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m.
You can get them through the Select Your Tickets website, by calling 250-762-5050 or in person at the Prospera Place box office.
