“I took on this challenger to overcome fears I still deal with in life,” said Tyson regarding the big bout.

“I equate this with overcoming my fear of getting back into the ring at 54 years old.”

Tyson, who reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, has recently released several videos of him back in the ring training spurring excitement among fight fans.

However, it remains unclear if the Aug. 9 premiere on Shark Week will be his only fight this year.
