The Dead South have come a long way since they came and visited KelownaNow in December 2016.
That night, they played a small but incredible show at the now closed Habitat and they had the whole crowd moving.
In October, they’ll have a bigger Kelowna crowd to get up and dancing as the four-man band from Regina is playing at the Kelowna Community Theatre.
The show is Monday, Oct. 21, one of a handful of dates added to their upcoming fall tour.
Next month’s show is just 10 days after the band is set to release their third studio album, Sugar & Joy, on Oct. 11.
Jimmy Nutt, a notable producer who worked with the band on this album, calls it their tightest, weirdest and most exciting studio work yet.
“They have an obvious dedication to what they are doing,” says Nutt. “They really encourage each other, which you don’t see a lot.”
Tickets for the show went on sale today and will set you back $37.50 before fees and taxes.
