The 2018 HM Commercial Ride for Autism is taking place Sunday, Sept 16 at the Summerhill Pyramid Winery.
This annual event was created five years ago in response to the lack of programming and support that is available for children with autism in Kelowna.
During this day-long cycling and fundraising event, teams of two or three will receive a map of Southeast Kelowna which will guide them through pre-selected local wineries.
Cyclists are encouraged to visit as many wineries as possible while completing fun challenges within the allotted time.
The event is designed to ensure riders of all levels can participate! Courses range from 30 minutes to four hours and all award prizes to the top teams.
After the ride, cyclists will reunite at Summerhill Pyramid Winery for a dinner catered by Urban Fare. There will be live entertainment and the chance for attendees to bid on exclusive Okanagan experiences such as a trip for four to Big White or a golf experience at Predator Ridge.
Riding not your thing? Don’t sweat it! You can still support this amazing cause by attending the dinner portion of the evening for $30. Be sure to email tillie.williamson@canucksautism.ca for dinner ticket information.
All the funds raised from the event will go to support the Canucks Autism Network in providing more program opportunities for children, youth and young adults living with autism in Kelowna.
To date, the fundraiser has raised over $300,000!
If you would like to participate in this wonderful event, register now! Registration is only $85 and includes all race activities, complimentary wine tastings and the post-ride dinner.
Visit the Canucks Autism Network website for more information and to purchase your tickets.
Happy cycling!
