We’ve made it to election day.
Polls are now open across the country as millions of Canadians help decide who will be the country’s next ruling party and prime minister.
Current projections from 338Canada have the Liberals winning a majority government with 186 seats, but the votes cast today and over the Easter long weekend will decide if those polls are accurate.

In British Columbia, the polls will be open until 7 pm tonight, 30 minutes after the majority of the country including Ontario, Quebec and the Prairies.
For those who have yet to cast a ballot, the only remaining way to vote in today’s election is at your assigned polling station in your riding.
That information is included on the voting card you received in the mail. If you didn’t receive one, however, you can enter your postal code here to find out where to vote.
While bringing your voting card can speed up the process, it’s not mandatory to have it if you want to vote. You can also register to vote at your assigned polling station if you have not yet done that.
According to Elections Canada, the best time to vote if you’re looking to avoid a long wait is before 4 pm. The polls get busier after 4 pm as people cast their ballot after work.
“All electors that are still in line at the end of voting hours will be allowed to vote regardless of the length of the line,” Elections Canada explains.
