A new sushi spot has quietly opened its doors in West Kelowna.
Sushi Kojo is now open for business at 3466 Carrington Rd. and it’s been a busy first few days of business with plenty of happy customers having tested the waters.
The Japanese restaurant’s first location popped up in Penticton in 2016 and has quickly become one of the most popular spots in town.
“Our restaurant brings a little Japanese flair and a whole lot of Okanagan hospitality together in what is the perfect blend,” says the Sushi Kojo website.
Business has really started to boom over the past two years in Penticton and Sushi Kojo has been recognized for its delicious cuisine.
It won Best of the South Okanagan for best Japanese restaurant, best ramen and best sushi, adding to its best sushi title in 2018.
It has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 197 reviews and even the brand new location in West Kelowna has garnered positive feedback like this already:
“We are Japanese. It was the best ramen we’ve ever had in Canada,” said Emiko Yokoyama, who added that the owner and staff were very kind and friendly.
“Their foods were very high Japanese quality. We’ll definitely come back. If you are a ramen lover, you should go there!”
It’s not just sushi, as Yokoyama mentioned, as you can also get ramen, poke, bento and rice bowls.
With reasonable prices and a wide variety of selections on their menu, Kojo Sushi is begging to be tried sooner rather than later.
