A popular Vancouver-based meal kit delivery service is ready to venture into the Okanagan.
Fresh Prep has announced that their delivery region will include areas of Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon with the first deliveries arriving as soon as May 6.
This is the third region the company is tackling as it currently delivers in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island.
“Coming to the Okanagan is something our team has wanted to do for quite some time,” says Fresh Prep co-founder Dhruv Sood. “We’re proud to be a BC-based company and a member of the BC Buy Local program.”
“We’re looking forward to bringing our service to more customers in our home province and have them experience a convenient and affordable way to eat fresh, home-cooked meals.”
Fresh Prep works like most meal kit delivery service where customers choose from a variety of meals that are offered each week.
High quality ingredients, which are pre-chopped and pre-portioned, are then delivered to customers in reusable cooler bags by Fresh Prep’s own fleet of drivers.
“All portioning plastic packaging can be cleaned and put back in the cooler bag where Fresh Prep recycles it for you in the most environmentally responsible way possible,” says the company.
“Fresh Prep works in partnership with Urban Impact Recycling, B.C.’s leading soft plastics recycling program.”
All that’s left for the customer to do once the meals are delivered is follow the instructions and cook themselves a delicious meal.
