Kelowna’s newest hotel is open for business, just in time for the busy long weekend and upcoming summer.
After a speedy 12 month build, the new Holiday Inn Express at 1620 Powick Rd is ready to welcome guests into its bright, fresh space.
You may be thinking, “doesn’t Kelowna already have a Holiday Inn Express?” Well, we used to, but recently the chain was passed on to P R Hotels LTD, meaning the classic Highway 97 location has retired the name.
Centrally located, just off the intersection of Hwy 33 and Hwy 97, the new and improved Holiday Inn Express is in an ideal location for traveling business professionals, sports teams and tourists alike.
From single king size beds and double queen rooms to spacious, mobility-friendly lodging, the hotel has a place for everyone with its 120 contemporary guest rooms.
Guests can not only feel refreshed after their stay thanks to amenities like the indoor pool, fitness centre and complimentary continental breakfast, but most rooms are equipped with some exciting features you’ll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere in the city.
To help make the stays and slumbers of their guests more enjoyable, the hotel has blackout blinds, making for an ideal sleep in, and an added cushioned sliding door to help eliminate pesky hallway chatter.
If out of town families are looking to spend a bit more time by the pool, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, right across the street is also owned by P R Hotels.
Also newly renovated in time for summer, the neighboring hotel features an outdoor pool with a four-storey waterslide and a trendy new look.
All about convenience, the Holiday Inn will also be welcoming some local businesses right into their parking lot with the opening of The Hub Commercial Plaza.
The Hub will feature a Booster Juice, Basil Leaf Noodle House restaurant, Red Wings Shoes and a Rogers Communications, with more on the way.
Refreshed, convenient and inviting the Holiday Inn Express has officially opened its doors and is ready to welcome guests to Kelowna as soon as today!
