You'll never drive past this exit again!

Trail name: Kay Falls

Trail Distance: 100 metres

Trail Difficulty: Easy

Directions:

Located outside of Sicamous along Highway 1. Travel past Crazy Creek Resort for just over 3 km. There will be an obvious exit along the right side of the Highway just after the Eagle River Bridge.

Description:

Hidden alongside Highway 1, Kay Falls is a true hidden gem! This beautiful waterfall is a place I cannot drive by without stopping to bask in it's beauty!

From the highway, take the obvious trail on the south side, through the bushes. This trail is very short and fairly manageable for most.

Within a couple minutes, the sound of the water grows louder and the falls became visible! The rushing water flying over the rock edge comes crashing down and creates a strong mist, making the surrounding forest lush and green! Depending on the time of year, the water levels can be low making it possible to walk right to the base of Kay Falls and get an up close and personal feeling of the falls. I love seeing these falls throughout the year as the creek level changes, the falls change drastically! From the low peaceful waters in late summer, to the rushing waters during spring runoff or completely white with snow in the winter!
Kay Falls is an easily accessible trail that does not require much time. It is also, another great waterfall to add to the 'Waterfall Road Trip'!

Remember to always be mindful of your surroundings, pack out what you pack in, stick to the trails and Happy Exploring!

Special notes:

  • This is an unmaintained trail, please do not leave any garbage and respect this area and all areas!
  • Be very cautious around the base of the falls! Do not stand too close, as rocks can fall from above! Rocks can also be very slippery from the mist, watch your step!
