UPDATE: Power restored to 3,800 residents in Kamloops

(Update - 12:00 p.m.): Power has been restored in the area.

(Original - 10:30 a.m.): Kamloops residents should be aware that BC Hydro is currently responding to a power outage in the city.

According to Hydro, the outage occurred west of Hwy 5A, just south of Greenstone Drive.

Approximately 3,804 residents have been left without power since 9:51 a.m. this morning.

Crews are en route to the scene to find the source of the problem and correct it.
