Kamloops residents looking to receive funding to throw their own block party this summer only have the rest of the day to request funds.
Fortis BC and the City of Kamloops are teaming up to give four neighbourhoods the chance to throw their own summer block parties.
Funding is applied for through the City's Neighbourhood Matching Fund Program. Successful applicants will receive up to $1,750 to cover the cost of food, music, and entertainment.
According to the City, summer is here, and there is no better way to enjoy it than having a party with the whole neighbourhood. The goal of these parties is to help introduce neighbours to build a more together community.
