14 photos of flood barriers being removed from Kelowna's downtown beaches

It's been 20 days since Okanagan Lake hit its peak level of 343.251 metres on June 9th.

Since then, there have been a lot of questions about when the flood barriers would start to come down and when things would start to return to normal.

It will still be some time before the latter happens, but the flood barriers in Waterfront Park and City Park started to be removed on Thursday, which is an encouraging sign.

KelownaNow paid a visit to Waterfront Park to check out all the hard work that was being done.
