Valoroso Foods has completed its full inventory review and is again open for business.
The company is hoping that customers will return to the store fronts in both Kelowna and West Kelowna and continue to support the local business. Valoroso Foods has come under a firestorm recently as allegations came to light about label tampering. But the company is confident that any problems that may have been at the store in the past have been rectified and the food is safe to sell and eat.

Owner Joe Valoroso apologized to customers for any distress or concerns they may have had because of the allegations.
“I apologize for any inconvenience that I caused to everybody, after all it is not anybody’s fault but my own,” stated Valoroso. “We want to continue doing business the best that we can, to please everybody.”
Recently Interior Health did an inspection at the store and found 10 infractions. But according to Interior Health those infractions are not considered serious and no label tampering concerns have been forwarded to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

The doors to the specialty grocer were closed over the weekend and part of the week as staff did a full inventory check to ensure quality products were on the shelves. Online comments about the store have been mixed as some are still supporting the store in the wake of the ongoing news while others say they will never shop there again.
Only time will tell as to whether or not the business will flourish in light of the controversy. To read the previous story on Valoroso Foods and the Interior Health inspection click here.
