Milic and Ridenour Win Junior Elite Titles in 33rd Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon

Day two of the three day Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon hosted in downtown Kelowna has been everything that both locals and internationals love about the event.

Kelowna's weather was what organizers always hope for, and both of the Junior Elite races were won by recent victors from the Western Canada Summer Games.

Michael Milic of Delta took home gold in the Junior Elite category fewer than ten days after winning silver in the individual men's triathlon at the Western Canada Summer Games.

In the Junior Elite Females category, the gold medal went to Desirae Ridenour of Cowichan Bay. Ridenour took bronze in the individual triathlon event on Thursday, August 13th, also at the Western Canada Summer Games.

Both young athletes were on British Columbia's male and female triathlon relay teams at Anzac, as well. The men took home gold and the women, silver.
