Thanks to the support of KelownaNow readers, an epileptic dog has finally found his forever home.
A recent article about Dozer, a two-year-old Shepard mix, went viral and within a few hours of it being published, dozens of applications and inquiries were sent to dog rescue organization Paws it Forward. The group had the pup in their care for over a year, but were unable to find a home for him because of his medical condition.
Thanks to the thousands of shares on social media, Dozer has now found a loving home to call his own. He is on trial with his new owner and has a new name and a fresh start. Dozer is now named Kobuk and has settled into his new home with new sister Mia, a staffy lab cross.
Dozer suffers from epilepsy and because of it, he had been homeless for many months, living in a dog spa without a proper parent. But now he is on the road to happiness thanks to our readers and their story shares.
