A world-renowned autism spokesperson and animal rights activist is coming to the Okanagan.
Temple Grandin is coming to the Kelowna Community Theatre on January 17th as part of UBCO’s Distinguished Speaker Series.

Grandin is known as one of the most accomplished and well-known adults with autism and is internationally recognized for speaking out about animal rights.
Her talk in Kelowna will provide insight about different types of thinkers, their skills and how they complement each other.
The event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required, which you can do at www.speakers.ok.ubc.ca or by calling 250-807-9216.
Along with an undergraduate degree from Franklin Pierce College, Grandin has also earned herself a masters of science in Animal Science at Arizona State University.
She’s also the author of several books, including the New York Times best-seller, Animals in Translation.
