Though there are countless ways to embrace the season, there are two particular activities that just scream fall fun; Visiting a pumpkin patch and getting lost in a corn maze.
We Kelownians are fortunate in that we have some great mazes and patches in very close proximity that we can visit to get our fall on.
Most of you may know this field nestled on Rutland Road for their juicy strawberries but did you know they also have glorious pumpkins and are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily!
Rows of bright orange spheres as big as Charlie Brown’s great pumpkin surround the small wooden stand, while their massive farm boasts even more. Reasonable prices and wide variety makes Bilga a great place to find the perfect pumpkin to carve.
Just off Valley Road in Glenmore, you can find the Kelowna Corn Maze!
Three acres in size and filled with dead ends, loop-de-loops, and spookiness, this maze is a great way to get you ready for Halloween.
The Maze is open Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Equipped with an adorable western style village that plays host to a market, cafe, pumpkin patch and more this Vernon gem is a must visit destination this fall.
Meet some barnyard animals, take a tour through the pumpkin patch or say hi to the pumpkin princess and her castle, there is endless fun the whole family can enjoy!
A visit to O’Keefe Ranch in Vernon usually means a rich history lesson, however, if you take a trip in October you’re in for quite the fright.
If you love all things terrifying and being scared out of your wits, this is the corn maze for you. Not suitable for youngin’s you can expect pop up scares and horror lurking in the darkness.
Don’t worry though, if you have some little ones there is a family-friendly maze during the day.
Another patch filled with more than just massive pumpkins, McMillan farms is a little closer to home.
Enjoy a hayride, launch gourds with the slingshot, or run around their giant corn maze, McMillan farms has a long list of family friendly activities to enjoy and photo opportunities worthy of your insta feed.
