On Saturday afternoon, just over 200 locals gathered at the Kelowna Gospel Mission (KGM) to participate in the 7th annual Strides to End Homelessness.
The event saw participants from local businesses, families, as well as patrons of the KGM, participate in the fight to end homelessness in our city.
Funds raised at the 7th annual event will go towards supporting the KGM's many programs such as their dental clinic and soup kitchen, in addition to keeping their shelves stocked with supplies for those in need.
With a great number of participants came an impressive sum of over $50,000 raised for the KGM. Team "Happy Feet" alone raised a whopping $10,000 for the cause.
After a quick prayer and thanks to the organizing team, runners and walkers embarked on their swift journey with orange and blue balloons in hand.
