(UPDATE: June 14th @ 8:50 a.m.) - The fire on Blue Grouse Mountain remained at 2-hectares overnight, but it's still considered held.
A total of 26 firefighters and a small amount of investigators remain on scene, but the two helicopters and four fixed wing aircraft are no longer assisting efforts.
(UPDATE: 5:15 p.m.) - According to the Kamloops Fire Centre, the fire on Blue Grouse Mountain is now considered to be "held", meaning the fire isn't expected to grow beyond its current state.
"Residents can expect to see continuing action similar to what they are seeing right now, which is reduced from the fire threat earlier in the day," said Kamloops Fire Centre.
(UPDATE: 2:30 p.m.) - The first estimates measure the fire on Blue Grouse Mountain to be at 2.5 hectares, according to Max Birkner from the Kamloops Fire Centre.
"On scene, there are two helicopters and four fixed wing aircraft that have been deployed," said Birkner. "And there are 26 firefighters and one response officer, as well as two fire origin and cause investigators that are responding to the fire today."
Multiple photos have surfaced showing a suspect campsite where the fire began, but Birkner said that officials can't speculate on the cause of the fire until the investigation is complete.
Birkner also said that they can't forecast on how the fire will behave over the next few hours, but the Kamloops Fire Centre is ready to send more resources to fight the fire if necessary.
(UPDATE: 1:45 p.m.) - Further reports and photos have surfaced showing an abandoned campsite near the site of the fire.
KelownaNow is awaiting further official information on the fire from the Kamloops Fire Centre.
