With the pathway and tunnel closed, pedestrians and cyclists are asked to use the paved pathway on the south side of Highway 97 from the bridge to Abbott Street.
Directional signage has been posted in the area to assists pedestrians and cyclists navigate the closures.
The area will fully reopen once water volumes and flood levels subside.
Sections of the interior roads and parking lots at City Park are also closed due to water and the late night lighting along the promenade will be shut off until further notice.
Because of this, City Park will have reduced hours until further notice and the park will be closed at dusk rather than 11 p.m.
City Park Waterpark remains closed due to the flooding, but Ben Lee Park has been operating with extended hours to accommodate extra visitors.
During these temporary closures, residents and visitors are encouraged to explore new parks and green spaces in the city.
